Citizenship and Naturalization
If you’ve held a Green Card for several years, you may be eligible to become a U.S. citizen. At theWay, Inc., we’ve helped hundreds of immigrants navigate the naturalization process with confidence and success.
Our Citizenship Process
- Initial Consultation
We begin with a personalized consultation to assess your eligibility based on factors like:
- Length of time as a Green Card holder (typically 5 years, or 3 if married to a U.S. citizen)
- Time spent in the U.S.
- State residency
- Any legal or tax issues
- Contract Us
- Filing Form N-400
Once hired, we gather your information and prepare Form N-400, the official application for naturalization. After a thorough review, we submit your application to USCIS and await your interview date. - 4. Interview & Exam Preparation
We help you prepare for:
- A brief interview about your application
- A civics test (10 questions from a list of 100; you must answer 6 correctly)
- A basic English reading and writing test
- Special accommodations may be available based on age and residency—ask us if you qualify.
- 5. Oath Ceremony
After passing your interview and exam, you’ll attend an Oath Ceremony and receive your - Certificate of Naturalization—your official proof of U.S. citizenship. You can then apply for a U.S. passport and update your legal documents.
Helping Your Family After Naturalization
Once you’re a citizen, you can:
- Petition for Green Cards for your spouse, parents, and other family members
- Automatically pass citizenship to children under 18 who are permanent residents and in your custody
- Children over 18 must go through the standard naturalization process.
Our team have successfully handled hundreds of naturalization cases—from straightforward to complex. Whether you’re a returning client or new to our office, we’re here to guide you every step of the way.
